Yeovil top Accrington to set up FA Cup tie with Manchester United

Yeovil Town scored two late goals for a 2-0 win to dump Accrington Stanley out of the FA Cup and set up a third-round tie with Manchester United.

The Glovers almost took the lead in the 12th minute through some desperate defending from Stanley when defender Tom Aldred's attempted nod back flew past on-rushing keeper Jack Rose, only for the thankful centre-half to watch it bobble wide.

Stanley could have benefitted from a defensive blunder themselves as Marcus Carver pounced on a short Brendan Moloney back-pass, but keeper Jed Steer did well to pat it away from his feet.

Dale Jennings' second-half brace helped League One Barnsley avoid an FA Cup upset at Chester as they beat the non-league side 3-0 in their second-round replay.

The two sides drew 0-0 in the first meeting yet a shock never looked on the cards as Kane Hemmings opened the scoring before Jennings netted twice for the Tykes, who now face Middlesbrough at Oakwell in the third round.

Chester were unbeaten in their previous eight home games but the visitors set out to silence the crowd early on and they would have been ahead had Michael Kay not got in the way of Luke Berry's sweetly-struck effort.

Luton progressed to the FA Cup third round after a 1-0 replay win over fellow League Two side Bury at Kenilworth Road.

Winger Luke Rooney scored the only goal moments after half-time when his cross deceived keeper Shwan Jalal and went straight into the bottom corner.

A quiet opening period saw Bury's Danny Mayor thump a half volley wide, while Luton defender Fraser Franks' deflected header hit the outside of a post and went behind.

Cambridge booked an FA Cup third-round tie with Luton after a deflected Sullay Kaikai shot after only 10 minutes saw them pull off a 1-0 second-round replay win at Mansfield.

But the home side were furious when Luke Waterfall's 89th-minute overhead effort was ruled out for offside when they thought they had finally pierced Cambridge's resilient defence.

Mansfield might have gone ahead with just 35 seconds on the watch but Vadaine Oliver sent a five-yard header straight at Chris Dunn from Rakish Bingham's left-wing cross.

Matty Done's hat-trick saw off Aldershot and secured an FA Cup third-round home tie against Nottingham Forest as Rochdale enjoyed a 4-1 replay win.

After holding Keith Hill's League One promotion hopefuls to a goalless draw at the Recreation Ground nine days earlier, the Shots proved tough opponents once again and the final scoreline was harsh on Andy Scott's men.

The tie was heading for extra-time when the visitors levelled in the 71st minute through substitute Dan Fitchett. But late goals from Peter Vincenti and Done -- his second and third of the night -- secured the win for Dale.

Max Power netted a second-half winner as Tranmere beat Oxford 2-1 to book an FA Cup third-round tie with Premier League Swansea at Prenton Park.

Oxford applied the pressure early on with Danny Hylton hitting the side-netting before Owain Fon Williams superbly denied Johnny Mullins from close range.

Defender Mullins was needed down the other end after 26 minutes, blocking a Liam Ridehalgh volley to prevent a certain goal for Tranmere.
