Chelsea boss Antonio Conte happy for Sam Allardyce's England chance

Chelsea's new boss Antonio Conte is pleased that Sam Allardyce may get the chance to become England manager.

The Sunderland manager is strongly tipped to fill the England vacancy that was left by Roy Hodgson, and has already been interviewed by the England Football Association.

Conte, who guided Italy to the Euro 2016 quarterfinals has started work as Chelsea manager, and is happy to know that Allardyce is the likely candidate to be given the Three Lions role.

"I know Sam. I visited him at the West Ham training ground two years ago," he told Chelsea's official website. "I can say the experience is fantastic because you are the coach of your country and this is a great responsibility.

"You feel great pressure but it's fantastic. You represent your country, your colours.

"I am happy for him if becomes the manager of the national team."

Conte was speaking after his team's 3-0 preseason friendly win over RZ Pellets WAC, where Bertrand Traore, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah were among the goals.

The Italian tactician was pleased with the contributions of the Chelsea youngsters, as he gave a strong hint that he will be blooding more youths in the upcoming season.

"We have many young players and all are working very hard. I'm happy about that," he said.

"Ruben is young with great potential. I like him a lot in the position of striker. He can improve a lot because he has great potential, good technique, good personality and he is good one versus one.

"It's normal he can improve and normal too that Chalobah and [Ola] Aina can improve. Aina is showing the Academy is a good school and it is very important for the club. If I can count on these players it's a new source for me.

"In the future I want to see other very young players like [Tammy] Abraham and [Dominic] Solanke. I am very happy to have young players to work with, and who I can improve and permit to become Chelsea first team players, not young players."
