West Ham striker Andy Carroll deserves England call - Mark Noble

Mark Noble has said he believes West Ham teammate Andy Carroll should be part of England's Euro 2016 squad after his hat trick in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Arsenal.

Carroll was in imperious form against the Gunners, with his goals helping the Hammers come from 2-0 down at Upton Park to lead 3-2.

And Noble said that, despite his injury problems, the former Newcastle and Liverpool forward was "unplayable" when on top form and would offer Roy Hodgson another dimension.

The Evening Standard quoted him as saying: "A hundred per cent he would provide something different.

"He's had a few injuries and he takes a lot of stick. He gets those injuries because he puts his body on the line for the team, and you can't knock a player who does that.

"When he's fit and raring to go he's unplayable at times, and he showed that against Arsenal."

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic has said midfielder Noble should also be in the squad for the summer tournament.

"I'd love to go, but it's completely out of my hands," the player said. "It would be fair to say I'm playing the best football of my career so far, but we'll see."
