Kevin-Prince Boateng offers tactical advice for Eintracht after debut draw

Kevin-Prince Boateng may not have got off to a winning start on his Eintracht Frankfurt debut, but the Ghana international is confident that a bit more attacking finesse could signal a big improvement for his new club.

The midfielder unexpected left Las Palmas earlier this week, before returning to German football with Frankfurt.

He came off the bench for Niko Kovac's Eagles in their Bundesliga opener at Freiburg's Schwarzwald-Stadion on Sunday, replacing Daichi Kamada after 67 minutes.

"Defensively, we've been very strong," said Prince after the match, as per Frankfurt's official Twitter handle. "If we convert chances in front of goal, we can achieve a lot this season."

Frankfurt impressed early on in their season opener, with another new boy - Simon Falette - going close with a header, while Sebastien Haller did enough to suggest that he could be a good foil for Prince this season.

"Let's start this new chapter, I'm ready!" Prince had written on his @KPBofficial Twitter handle before his debut. "Thank you Eintracht for the warm welcome.

"[I] will wear the [Eagle] with honour on my chest!"

The midfielder returns to German football after a successful renaissance in Spain, where he scored 10 in 28 appearances last term before signing a new contract, only to be released for "personal reasons".

The 30-year-old will be keen to banish bad memories of German football after being exiled and deemed surplus to requirements at Schalke before sealing his exit from the club during the 2015-16 campaign.

Boateng has also represented Tottenham Hotspur and Hertha Berlin, and won the Italian title with AC Milan in 2011.
