Terrence Boyd's season finished at Darmstadt - Torsten Frings

U.S. forward Terrence Boyd has been ruled out for the final two matches of the Bundesliga season due to a foot injury, Darmstadt coach Torsten Frings has said.

Frings told reporters on Friday that the 26-year-old will play no part in the final two games of the campaign.

Boyd was injured against Bayer Leverkusen on April 5, and Frings said he "won't take to the pitch again this season."

The forward joined Darmstadt from RB Leipzig on an 18-month deal in January, making his German top-flight debut in a 6-1 defeat to Cologne later that month.

He went on to feature in seven matches for the Lilies, who were relegated from the top flight with a 1-0 defeat at Bayern Munich last weekend.

Frings, who will stay on as Darmstadt coach, is preparing his side for their last home game of the season against Hertha Berlin.
