Danish defender Daniel Agger has confirmed he has decided to end his career.

Former Liverpool and Denmark defender Daniel Agger has announced his retirement from football after an injury-hit spell with Brondby.

Agger, 31, played for Liverpool between 2006 and 2014 before returning to first club Brondby on a two-year contract after suffering with fitness issues.

The return to his homeland brought no real improvement, though, and the centre-back has now announced his retirement.

Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Turkey international Emre Mor from FC Nordsjaelland for an undisclosed fee.

Mor, 18, has signed a five-year contract at the Westfalenstadion and becomes the fifth signing of the summer for Dortmund after the arrivals of Mikel Merino, Ousmane Dembele, Marc Bartra and Sebastian Rode

Emre Mor has made the final 23-man cut for Turkey.

Liverpool are leading the race for Turkey and FC Nordsjaelland youngster Emre Mor, a source close to the Danish club has told ESPN FC.

Mor, 18, is emerging as one of the most promising young players in Europe after catching the eye in the Danish Superliga and he was named in Turkey's Euro 2016 squad.

The attacking midfielder only recently made his debut for Turkey after pledging his international allegiance to the county having played for Denmark at under-19 level.

Tony Adams confirms Brondby talks over taking manager's role

Tony Adams won four league titles as an Arsenal player but is yet to win a trophy as a manager.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams has confirmed he is in talks with Brondby about taking over as coach of the Danish club.

Adams, 49, told Danish newspaper BT that he has been in regular talks with Brondby owner and chairman Jan Bech Andersen since November.

"He is a great guy and I really like him and his vision for the club," he said. "Brondby is a fantastic football club, probably the biggest and best in Denmark. So of course I'm interested in the coaching job.

A Leicester City fan may be crying for the wrong reasons and Bendtner has been released from Wolfsburg.

Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner is training with FC Copenhagen following his release by Wolfsburg last month.

Former Arsenal forward Bendtner is available on a free transfer after Wolfsburg reached an agreement to terminate his contract, which still had a year to run, with club CEO Klaus Allofs later saying his 2014 arrival had been "an experiment" and "not a successful one."
