Alan Pardew faces hot-seat meeting with Crystal Palace chairman - reports

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is set to hold talks with chairman Steve Parish this week with his future at the club in doubt, according to reports in The Guardian and The Telegraph.

Palace have lost six straight Premier League games -- the latest a heartbreaking 5-4 defeat at Swansea -- putting Pardew on the hot seat in his third season at Selhurst Park.

Parish wants to know if Pardew has a clear plan to pull Palace toward safety, the reports say, with the Eagles only above the relegation zone on goal difference.

The reports also say that club co-owners David Blitzer and Josh Harris have eyed former England managers Sam Allardyce and Roy Hodgson as potential replacements, while an alternative to sacking Pardew could be to simply add a defensive-minded assistant.

Earlier on Monday, The Independent had reported that Pardew had been given two more games -- against Southampton and Hull City -- to save his job.
