Tigres cruise past Plaza Amador, while FC Dallas held to draw by Real Esteli

Liga MX side Tigres had another easy night on Wednesday in the CONCACAF Champions League, beating Plaza Amador 3-1 to take a commanding lead in Group G.

Humberto Ward scored a surprise opener for the hosts, who held the lead until right before the half-time break when Espericueta converted his chance from the penalty spot to make it 1-1 after 45 minutes.

Fernando Fernandez and Julian Quinones added second-half goals to help Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti's team to an easy win with a squad full of reserves.

FC Dallas were held to a surprise 1-1 draw away to Real Esteli.

Elvis Figueroa put the hosts up in the fifth minute, but their Major League Soccer opponents levelled minutes later as Atiba Harris slotted home.

Despite a long trip to Nicaragua, Dallas fielded a strong side and will be surprised to return home with a single point that puts them one point above Group H's second-placed team Suchitepequez who have a game in hand.

It was a runaway win for shock Group D leaders Arabe Unido, who beat Don Bosco 5-2. A brace from Amilcar Henriquez paced the visitors, who are in first place ahead of Liga MX club Monterrey.
