Idrissa Doumbia slams Anderlecht treatment after Zulte loan

Ivory Coast youngster Idrissa Doumbia has spoken out against Belgian giants Anderlecht after they sent him on loan to Zulte Waregem.

Speaking to La Derniere Heure [as per Walfoot], Doumbia has criticised the Brussels heavyweights for keeping him in the dark about their plans for him before eventually sending him on loan for one season earlier this week, with Zulte having the option of extending the deal for another campaign.

Monaco sign midfielder Soualiho Meite from Lille

Monaco have announced the signing of midfielder Soualiho Meite from Ligue 1 rivals Lille.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who spent last season on loan at Belgian club Zulte Waregem, has agreed a five-year deal starting on July 1.

Meite helped Zulte Waregem lift the Belgian Cup at the end of the campaign and is looking forward to the prospect of playing for the defending French champions.

Standard Liege vs. Zulte-Waregem abandoned as supporters protest

The referee was forced to call off the match at Stade Maurice Dufrasne on Sunday.

Standard Liege's Belgian Jupiler League clash against Zulte Waregem was abandoned in the 90th minute on Sunday when sections of the home crowd tried to force their way through to Standard owner Roland Duchatelet.

The match had already been interrupted with around 10 minutes to go due to unrest in the stands with Zulte-Waregem leading 1-0 through Theo Bongonda's 21st-minute strike.
