Haringey Borough players walk off in FA Cup tie vs. Yeovil due to racist abuse

Haringey Borough's fourth-round FA Cup qualifying fixture against Yeovil was abandoned on Saturday after the home side walked off the pitch following racist abuse aimed at their goalkeeper by away supporters.

Haringey goalkeeper Valery Douglas Pajetat, who is from Cameroon, told BT Sport that he had been racially abused by fans, and that they had thrown objects and spat at him.

The club tweeted after the match to confirm it had been abandoned. The post read: "Sorry for the late update but wanted...

Ball boys sent off for time-wasting, leaving referee to do their job

Yeovil Town's ball boys were all sent off in the closing minutes of Saturday's 3-1 non-league win over Bromley, leaving the referee to retrieve the ball himself, as the bemused club took to social media to discuss the bizarre end to the game.

"The referee has, no joke, just sent off one of our ball boys..." Yeovil said on Twitter, a post that was retweeted by more than 2,000 users, before adding: "Update: he's dismissed all of them."

Substitute Lee Angol was the saviour for Mansfield as they twice came from behind to beat Yeovil 3-2 and keep their Sky Bet League Two play-off hopes alive.

The Stags had to win at Huish Park to have any chance of making the top seven but were 1-0 down after 17 minutes when an unmarked Bevis Mugabi headed in from a corner.

Angol came off the bench at half-time and scored in the 48th minute with a scuffed effort that just crossed the line, but the visitors trailed again when Omar Sowunmi was pushed...

Yeovil and Forest Green secured their Football League status after they played out a goalless draw.

Both teams needed at least a point to be sure of retaining their Sky Bet League status and they achieved that in a tight battle at Huish Park.

The visitors had the better of what was a nervy first half of very few chances.

Christian Doidge flicked on a cross that Haydn Hollis stretched to volley at the far post but Jonny Maddison did excellently to dive across his goal and turn it over. From the resulting...
