Troy Deeney happy at Watford amid reported West Brom interest

Troy Deeney is one of only five players in Watford history to score 100 or more goals for the club.

Troy Deeney has told talkSPORT that speculation about a move to West Brom is just "paper talk" and said he is happy to continue his stay with Watford.

Deeney, 28, turned down the opportunity to join Premier League champions Leicester last summer in order to sign a new five-year contract with Watford.

West Brom fell to their third consecutive loss, and their fourth game in a row without scoring, with a 1-0 defeat against Liverpool at The Hawthorns on Sunday.

Tony Pulis' side were once again wasteful in front of goal, missing three gilt-edged chances at crucial points in the contest, although Liverpool could have also put the game out of sight early in the second half when some of West Brom's forward players neglected their defensive duties in search of an equaliser.
