Anders Lindegaard's West Brom contract cancelled by mutual consent

Anders Lindegaard made 29 appearances for Manchester United before going to West Brom.

Anders Lindegaard has had his West Bromwich Albion contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Lindegaard, 32, joined from Manchester United in August 2015 on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract with the club.

However, he failed to dislodge Albion No. 1 Ben Foster and made just one start for the club -- September's League Cup defeat to Norwich City.

James Morrison signs two-year contract extension with West Brom

It was another frustrating afternoon for James Morrison and West Brom on Saturday against Palace.
James Morrison joined West Brom from Middlesbrough in 2007.

James Morrison has signed a new two-year contract with West Brom which will take his stay with the club beyond 10 years.

Morrison, 30, has made 278 appearances for the Baggies but spent the second half of last season on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The Scotland international, who had been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns, was set to become a free agent on July 1 but he didn't want to leave the club on a low following injury.

West Bromwich Albion striker Jonathan Leko has signed his first professional contract at The Hawthorns.

The 17-year-old academy graduate, who joined the club aged 11, has penned a three-year deal following his breakthrough into the first team last season.

He made his debut in the League Cup against Norwich in September before making a Premier League bow for the Baggies aged 16 when he appeared as a substitute in the 0-0 draw at Sunderland in April.

Palermo vice president Guglielmo Micciche has confirmed that Franco Vazquez is unlikely to remain in Italy next season.
