Pressure rising on Alan Irvine after Swansea defeat

Swansea recorded their third win of the campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over West Brom.

It's been a rough week for already under-pressure West Brom manager Alan Irvine.

The club's 3-0 defeat to Swansea, after a poor performance midweek against Oxford, means the man in charge goes into the international break without a competitive win to his name. The murmurs of discontent are beginning to get louder among fans.

Albion have really struggled against Swansea in the Premier League, particularly away from home, with previous managers Roy Hodgson and Steve Clarke both failing to pick up ...

But Swansea were also aided by some pitiful defending, with West Brom still seeking their first league victory under new manager Alan Irvine.

Swansea had the perfect start inside two minutes when Dyer picked up...

West Brom survived a scare against Oxford.

Oxford took West Brom all the way to penalties before the Premier League side prevailed 7-6 to reach the third round of the Capital One Cup.

The Baggies, with seven changes from the side that started against Southampton at the weekend, looked lively early on and made the breakthrough just before the half hour mark through Jonny Mullins' own goal.

However, the...
