World Cup: Benjamin Pavard (57') France 2-2 Argentina

Stuttgart are prepared to knock back any approaches this summer for defender Benjamin Pavard amid reports Bayern Munich will trigger the France international's €35 million release clause in 2019.

Currently impressing in defence for his country at the World Cup, Pavard, 22, is contracted until 2021 at the Bundesliga club. He scored a brilliant equaliser for France in their 4-3 round-of-16 victory over Argentina on Saturday.

United States international Julian Green has joined second-tier German side Greuther Furth, for whom he played on loan last season, from Stuttgart on a two-year deal.

Earlier this month, Stuttgart revealed that they hoped an agreement could be reached for a permanent transfer, which was announced on Sunday.

Green, 23, had said he was uncertain of what his future held after his one-year loan with the Shamrocks ended.

But the forward, who returned to the U.S. national team after an 18-month absence...

Holger Badstuber says he won't return to Stuttgart and prefers move abroad

Holger Badstuber spent last season with Stuttgart.

Defender Holger Badstuber wants to leave Stuttgart this summer to join a Champions League club, the Germany international has told Sport Bild.

Badstuber left Bayern Munich after the 2016-17 season to join his boyhood club Stuttgart on a one-year deal that is now set to expire.

The 29-year-old has played his entire career in Germany, but he said that he is interested in exploring a move to another country.

"Of course, [playing abroad] would be an experience that I would like to make at some stage....

Stuttgart hopeful U.S.'s Julian Green could return to Greuther Furth

Stuttgart are hopeful they can reach an agreement with German second-tier club Greuther Furth over the future of United States international Julian Green.

The forward, who turns 23 on Wednesday, said last month he was uncertain of his future after his one-year loan with the Shamrocks ended, but Stuttgart sporting executive Michael Reschke said Green could stay with Greuther Furth.

"I'd like to think that we can find a very good solution for all involved," Reschke said. "And that Julian will stay...

Julian Green joined Greuther Furth on loan from Stuttgard at the start of the season.

Julian Green secured Greuther Furth another year in the 2. Bundesliga even though the United States international faces an unclear future.

Green joined Furth on a season-long loan from Stuttgart last summer and, for the first time in his career, turned himself into a first-team starter.

Yet even though he made 24 league appearances, Green scored just three goals -- including one in the 51st minute of a 1-1 draw at Heidenheim on Sunday that moved them ahead of Eintracht Braunschweig and Erzgebirge...
