The strong wind was the only winner as Sydney FC and South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai slugged out a 0-0 draw in Wednesday's Asian Champions League clash at Sydney's Jubilee Oval.

Sydney created most of the chances in a game attended by just 4,039 spectators, but struggled to get shots on target, especially kicking into the strong breeze in the second half.

Visiting goalkeeper Oh Seong-Hoon saved strong efforts from Adam Le Fondre early in the game and from Anthony Caceres just after half-time, but had...

ULSAN, AAP - Melbourne Victory have crashed out of the Asian Champions League (ACL) in wicked fashion, losing 6-2 to Ulsan Hyundai.

The record ACL defeat ends Victory's hopes of progressing to the knockout stages of the competition.

Kenny Athiu's first Victory goal and Kosta Barbarouses' consolation effort will do little to hearten Victory fans, well beaten on Wednesday night in South Korea.

Lawrence Thomas set the tone when his howler gifted Junior Negao an opener.

Melbourne Victory have shown their resilience amid trying times by coming from behind three times in a 3-3 draw with Ulsan Hyundai in the Asian Champions League.

Leroy George's double and Rhys Williams' header earned Victory a point against the South Korean visitors in their ACL opener in Melbourne, snapping a three-game losing streak for Kevin Muscat's team. Just 5,127 attended the A-League's first continental clash of the season.

And while the result won't help Victory progress out of their imposing...

Dimitri Petratos joins Newcastle Jets after terminating contract with Ulsan

Dimitri Petratos
Dimitri Petratos made eight appearances for Ulsan during his six-month stint.

A-League side Newcastle have recruited former Brisbane Roar midfielder Dimitri Petratos for the second time in six months.

Petratos signed a three-year deal with the Jets in January but instead headed to South Korean club Ulsan, having been sold by the Roar.

However, the 24-year-old played just eight games for Ulsan before the two parties agreed to terminate his contract.

Petratos, who agreed to a two-season contract with the Jets on Tuesday, is set to play alongside brother Kosta during the 2017-18...
