Trabzonspor have opened talks with Manchester United for Marouane Fellaini, the president of the Turkish club says.

United triggered a one-year option in the midfielder's contract in January in order to secure the 29-year-old to the club until the end of the 2017-18 season, and sources told ESPN FC in April that manager Jose Mourinho would like to extend his deal at Old Trafford even further.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will serve a four-month ban imposed by FIFA for breach of contract.

Fabian Castillo seals move to Trabzonspor on loan from FC Dallas

FC Dallas winger Fabian Castillo has completed a loan to Trabzonspor, the Turkish club announced on Thursday.

As first reported by Sports Illustrated and confirmed by an MLS source to ESPN FC, Castillo will play in Turkey at least until the end of 2016 after they clubs agreed a $3 million transfer fee.

FC Dallas also confirmed the deal also has an option for Trabzonspor to sign Castillo on a permanent basis in January for an additional fee, reported by to be between $1-$1.5m.

FC Dallas winger Fabian Castillo's Trabzonspor deal falls through

When Fabian Castillo is on, watch out. The 24-year-old Colombian winger was certainly in the mood Saturday night, registering two assists and creating a multitude of chances in FC Dallas' win over the Chicago Fire.

Colombian Fabian Castillo will be returning to Major League Soccer after the FC Dallas winger's negotiations with Turkish side Trabzonspor fell through.

Having spent six years with Dallas in the MLS, Castillo scored 34 goals and 30 assists in just 159 regular-season appearances.

He was in Turkey last week to meet Tranzonspor officials to seal a deal to play in the Turkish Super Lig, but ESPN analyst Taylor Twellman revealed at half-time during Sunday's game against LA Galaxy that the deal was "dead."

Trabzonspor to play four games behind closed doors after violence at Fener

Trabzonspor have been ordered to play four games behind closed doors as a result of the crowd violence that saw their Super Lig game at Fenerbahce abandoned.

A Trabzonspor supporter jumped over the barrier at the front of the stand and attacked goal-line official Volkan Bayarslan late in the game.
