Ciro Immobile scored his first brace for Torino as they beat Palermo to move away from the Serie A relegation zone.

Alberto Gilardino took just two minutes to put Palermo ahead when he drove Michel Morganella's pass into the roof of the net.

It was all Torino from then on, however. A foul by Morganella handed Torino a chance to equalise from the penalty spot and Immobile duly obliged with a right-footed shot into the bottom left-hand corner of Stefano Sorrentino's goal.

Giancarlo Gonzalez then scored...

Amauri leaves Torino as his contract is cancelled

Amauri is no longer a member of Torino's squad.

One-cap Italy striker Amauri has left Torino after his contract was cancelled on Thursday.

The 35-year-old former Juventus and Parma player, who was born in Brazil, moved to the Stadio Olimpico in September 2014 but struggled to make much of an impact for Toro.

And after he appeared only once in Serie A this season, Torino revealed Amauri had left the club by mutual consent in a statement published on their official website.

Valter Birsa fired Chievo to a 2-1 Serie A victory at Torino.

The beleaguered hosts, who have now lost four games on the spin, took the lead through midfielder Marco Benassi on 19 minutes, but the Flying Donkeys drew level shortly after the half-hour mark.

Bruno Peres' unfortunate own goal - the Brazilian deflected Roberto Inglese's pass beyond Toro goalkeeper Daniele Padelli - meant the match was tied at half-time.

Birsa struck the winner from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute. After Danilo Avelar...

Andrea Belotti struck deep into added time as Torino fought back from behind twice to draw 2-2 with struggling Sampdoria.

Belotti bagged his second of the game four minutes into stoppage time to deny Samp a first Serie A home win of 2016.

The hosts, who had lost their last four, took the lead in the 66th minute when Luis Muriel headed in Dodo's cross.

Belotti equalised five minutes later with a simple tap in after Andrea Ranocchia missed his attempted front-post clearance.

It appeared the hosts were...

Sampdoria sign Fabio Quagliarella from Torino on initial loan deal

Fabio Quagliarella upset Torino fans when he failed to celebrate a goal against Napoli last month.

Fabio Quagliarella has re-joined Sampdoria from Torino.

Quagliarella, 33, initially returns to the club on loan until the end of the season, but Samp will be obliged to make the deal permanent in the summer.

The former Italy international made 42 appearances and scored 14 goals for Sampdoria in the 2006-07 season, and has also featured for Ascoli, Udinese and Napoli in the Italian top flight.
