Miguel Herrera's face full of cake as Xolos prank former Mexico boss

Having garnered a degree of infamy for his wild touchline gesticulations during a stint in charge of the Mexico national side, the ever-lively Miguel Herrera quit El Tri in 2015 to take over at Club Tijuana.

Indeed, after turning 49 last week, Herrera was treated to a birthday surprise by the Xolos squad, who presented their coach with a cake during a recent training session.

Of course, this being El Piojo we're talking about, there are no prizes on offer for guessing where said cake ended...

Tijuana manager Miguel Herrera could face sanction for alleged insult of a fan

Club Tijuana manager Miguel Herrera reveals his desire to return as coach of the Mexican national team.

Club Tijuana coach Miguel "Piojo" Herrera could be punished for allegedly insulting a member of the crowd inside Estadio Caliente last Friday, after Xolos' 1-1 draw with Santos Laguna.

Former El Tri coach Herrera had been sent to the stands by the referee for his complaints about Guido Rodriguez's red card and stood with fans as the game wound down.

On the final whistle, one fan filmed Herrera appearing to insult and challenge a member of the public to a fight.
