Sparkling Sydney FC found the goal touch which had eluded them in last week's A-League derby, with a crushing 4-1 home win over Newcastle at Leichhardt Oval.

As was the case against the Wanderers, the Sky Blues produced dazzling build-ups but their finishing on Friday night was far more clinical.

Both sides scored inside the first 10 minutes, with Milos Ninkovic netting for Sydney and Matt Millar for the Jets. The game was locked at 1-1 shortly before half time, but a slick Adam Le Fondre finish...

Western Sydney Wanderers' unbeaten start good for A-League - Andrew Redmayne

Sydney FC goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne grudgingly concedes it's good for the A-League that their local rivals have started the season well but he insists his own side aren't far off.

The Sky Blues find themselves below Western Sydney for the first time in a long time after losing 1-0 to the Wanderers in last Saturday's derby at Bankwest Stadium.

The game attracted more than 28,000 fans, who produced a tremendous atmosphere and witnessed the Wanderers beat Sydney for only the second time in their past...

Duke's unstoppable flying 19th minute header from near the penalty spot from a Daniel Georgievski cross settled a pulsating derby, which threw up plenty of talking points.

The defending A-League champions had far more chances but two crucial second-half VAR calls went the Wanderers way.

The visitors were adamant they had...

Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory reschedule November's Big Blue clash

Sydney FC's A-League clash with Melbourne Victory has been pushed back a day in a move that could deliver both clubs access to some of their international players.

The game has been moved from a 5 p.m. kick-off on Saturday Nov. 16, to 6.30 p.m. the next day.

November 11-19 is a FIFA international window and this season, the A-League has scrapped international breaks -- but clubs significantly affected by national team call-ups are able to apply to have games in those time periods rescheduled.
