Julian Green speaks exclusively to ESPN FC about the 2014 World Cup, what he must do to get back into the USMNT fold and much more.

FURTH, Germany -- On July 1, 2014, Julian Green had the world at his feet. Coming off the bench for the United States in the World Cup round of 16 against Belgium in extra time, the then-19-year-old scored moments later, cutting in from the left and firing past Thibaut Courtois to cut the deficit to 2-1. Green, 22, is currently on loan from Stuttgart with Greuther Fuerth in the 2.Bundesliga after stints with Bayern Munich and Hamburg, but is he most famously remembered for being picked ahead of U.S. veteran Landon Donovan by Klinsmann for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Bayern edge Wolfsburg to reach Pokal quarters; Bobby Wood lifts Hamburg

A first-half strike from Douglas Costa was enough for holders Bayern Munich to edge Wolfsburg 1-0 at home and scrape into the DFB Pokal quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Costa scored with a deflected shot in the 18th minute, but Bayern failed to build on their greater possession and were made to suffer late on as Wolfsburg grew in confidence.

Yunus Malli should have equalised with less than 10 minutes remaining, but Manuel Neuer denied his solo effort and the Bayern goalkeeper was called into action...
