AC Milan give internationals most playing time in Europe, study says

Chelsea give the most minutes to internationals than any other team in the Premier League, where the percentage of minutes played by capped players are higher than other major European leagues.

AC Milan give 99.4 percent of all minutes in Serie A to full internationals, the most of any team in Europe's biggest leagues, according to a study by the CIES Football Observatory.

The study looked at how much league playing time in Italy, England, Spain, France and Germany was performed by players who have already been capped by their national teams.

Paderborn slipped into the bottom two of the Bundesliga after being held to a goalless draw at home by 10-man Hoffenheim on Saturday.

After surviving a strong Hoffenheim assault in the first half, Paderborn searched for a winner in the second 45 minutes, but found visiting goalkeeper Oliver Baumann in fine form.

Hoffenheim, meanwhile, missed an opportunity...

Nelson Valdez, making his return after a six-month injury absence, put the cherry on top for the Eagles late on with his team's fourth at the Waldstadion.

Bayer Leverkusen rose to fourth in the Bundesliga thanks to a 3-0 win at Paderborn, although they were made to work hard for all three points by the league strugglers.

All three goals arrived in the final 17 minutes with Kyriakos Papadopoulos heading in the opener and Son Heung-min adding the second and third.

Paderborn had controlled the game up until then, but failed to find the goals they needed to move out of the bottom three.

Being last up this weekend, Paderborn knew precisely what three points...
