Stevan Jovetic's second-half strike forced a 1-1 draw and earned Monaco a point at Amiens.

Defending champions Monaco missed the chance to put pressure on Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain as they were held to a 1-1 draw at lowly Amiens on Friday night.

The home side went ahead just after the half-hour mark as Gael Kakuta's through ball found Serge Gakpe in the centre of the box and he picked out the bottom-right corner to earn Amiens a narrow half-time lead.

Stevan Jovetic equalised for Monaco midway through the second half when he fired home Fabinho's cross.

Investigation raises questions about Amiens stadium safety

Local investigations have raised questions about safety at Amiens' Stade de la Licorne following last month's barrier collapse that saw many Lille fans hurt.

The Ligue 1 clash on Sept. 30 was abandoned after a barrier at the front of the stand housing away supporters failed to hold back fans as they celebrated a 15th-minute goal by Lille's Fode Ballo-Toure.

There were 29 fans hurt in the incident as they fell onto the perimeter of the pitch.

Football supporters and a steward were hospitalised following an incident in the Ligue 1 game between Amiens and Lille.

The under-pressure president of Amiens has said he will invest the necessary funds to improve his club's stadium and ensure there is no repeat of Saturday's barrier collapse.

Six people -- five Lille fans and a steward -- were hospitalised overnight after a barrier broke in the visitors' section of Amiens' Stade de la Licorne following the visitors' opening goal after just 16 minutes of Saturday's Ligue 1 game.
