Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria commits to Nigeria

Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria has committed his international future to Nigeria, the nation's football federation (NFF) has told ESPN.

"Yes, he has agreed to play for Nigeria," NFF president Amaju Pinnick told ESPN.

"His documents have been sent to FIFA since."

Ejaria, 22, was born in England to Nigerian parents, and he trained with the Nigeria cadet team in 2013 before accepting a call up to represent England at under-20 level.

U.S. defender Matt Miazga out for 'significant' amount of time with ankle injury

Reading and U.S. international defender Matt Miazga is looking at a significant spell on the sidelines after suffering a torn ankle ligament, according to Reading manager Mark Bowen.

Miazga was stretchered off in the 66th minute of Saturday's 2-2 FA Cup draw with Cardiff City. Bowen disclosed the extent of Miazga's injury following Tuesday's 1-0 league defeat to Bristol City.

"Miazga has a grade two tear -- he'll be out for a significant amount of time," Bowen said.

Chelsea loan Miazga back to Championship Reading

United States defender Matt Miazga has been loaned back to second-tier Reading by Chelsea for the 2019-20 season.

The 6-foot-4 center back from Clifton, New Jersey, was sent to Nantes last summer on what was supposed to be a season-long loan. He started six Ligue 1 matches under coach Miguel Cardoso, who was replaced by Vahid Halilhodzic.

Miazga played only one more match under Halilhodzic. He was sent back to Chelsea, then lent to Reading in late January and made 18 appearances for the Royals....

Matt Miazga has been recalled from his loan at Nantes and joined Reading.

United States defender Matt Miazga has been recalled by Chelsea from his unsuccessful loan spell at French club Nantes and loaned to relegation-threatened English Championship side Reading for the rest of the season.

Chelsea acquired Miazga from Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls in January 2016, but he made just two appearances during the remainder of that season and was loaned to Vitesse in the Netherlands for the remainder of 2016-17 and last season.
