Reading secured their third successive Sky Bet Championship victory with a hard-earned 3-2 win over a dogged Millwall side at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading took a two-goal lead in the first half when Simon Cox scored from long distance and Nick Blackman neatly converted a penalty.

Millwall deservedly dragged themselves back into it with efforts from Ricardo Fuller and Mark Beevers and looked the better team towards the end but - Reading struck with six minutes remaining when Cox stooped low to nod...

Fulham supporters called for manager Felix Magath to be sacked as the Cottagers slumped to a fifth defeat in six Sky Bet Championship games.

The visitors finished with 10 men as they slumped 3-0 at Reading, adding to the pressure on manager Magath who only joined in February.

Reading won at a canter with a pair of headers from on-loan striker Glenn Murray, on his debut, and a late effort from Nick Blackman.

Fulham's cause was rendered almost lost as early as the 18th minute, when former Leeds striker...

Manager Aitor Karanka vented his frustration at the officials following Middlesbrough's 1-0 Sky Bet Championship loss to Reading.

Simon Cox struck in the seventh minute as the Royals ultimately grabbed their second league win of the season.

He said: ``It is something that I do not like (time-wasting).

``It is frustrating but they...

QPR sign goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading

Head coach Harry Redknapp has confirmed he will ink a two-year extension with QPR and also hints at more signings before the end of the summer transfer window.

QPR have signed goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading for an undisclosed fee.

McCarthy, 24, has signed a four-year deal at Loftus Road and will wear the No. 12 shirt, battling with Rob Green to become first-choice at the club after the exit of Brazil international Julio Cesar this summer.

The ex-England under-21 international won three caps with the national side and was rumoured to be attracting the interest of Arsenal this summer, before they moved for Colombia's David Ospina.
