Perry Kitchen has returned to MLS after two years in Europe.

The LA Galaxy have signed midfielder Perry Kitchen to a new contract, completing a free transfer from Danish side Randers after finalizing a trade with D.C. United for his MLS rights.

The Galaxy sent $100,000 of general allocation money and $200,000 of targeted allocation money to D.C. to acquire Kitchen's rights.

The Black-and-Red still held his MLS rights because it made a contract offer to Kitchen just prior to his contract expiring after the 2015 season. Kitchen moved to Scottish side Hearts...

The LA Galaxy are interested in signing former U.S. midfielder Perry Kitchen from Danish side Randers FC.

The LA Galaxy are pursuing the signature of holding midfielder Perry Kitchen from Danish side Randers FC, multiple sources tell ESPN FC's Jeff Carlisle.

The 25-year-old joined Randers just last July, and has since started in 17 of 19 league matches for the club, who sit bottom of the Danish Superliga. His contract has another 18 months yet to run, and it's not yet known what sort of fee -- if any -- Randers would demand.

Perry Kitchen signs with Danish side Randers FC after Hearts exit

Perry Kitchen was told by Hearts he was free to leave at the end of the 2016-17 season.

U.S. international midfielder Perry Kitchen has completed a transfer to Danish Superliga side Randers FC, the club announced on Wednesday.

Kitchen, 25, had been told by previous club Heart of Midlothian that he was free to leave following a disappointing 2016-17 season in the Scottish Premiership. He began the campaign as the team's captain, but fell out of favor after manager Robbie Neilson left for English side MK Dons back in December, and was replaced by Ian Cathro.
