Queen of the South goalkeeper Sam Henderson injured by rampaging cow

A cow, earlier
Did the cow give Henderson a chance to moo-ve?

Queen of the South have found themselves in the midst of a potential goalkeeping injury crisis as they continue to prepare for Saturday's Scottish Championship clash with Dunfermline.

Queens were forced to include 19-year-old shot stopper Sam Henderson on the bench for last weekend's game against Morton while Jack Leighfield, also 19, deputised for first-choice Alan Martin, who suffered an injury in training a few days prior.

However, it looks like Henderson may now be ruled out of the Dunfermline...

Dumbarton earned an important point as they held Queen of the South to a goalless draw on Tuesday.

There were few clear-cut chances for either side in a quiet first half but the game burst into life after the break.

Dumbarton's Calum Gallagher came close to opening the scoring in the 56th minute but his close-range effort was well saved by home goalkeeper Alan Martin.

Visiting shot-stopper Scott Gallacher then produced a smart save to deny Chris Kane in the 60th minute as the game opened up.

Queen of the South twice fought back from a goal down to earn a 2-2 draw at in-form Dumbarton.

The seventh-placed Sons, chasing a fourth win in five games in all competitions, went ahead in the 11th minute when Sam Wardrop's cross was headed into his own net by Queens defender Callum Fordyce.

The visitors drew level in the 70th minute when Stephen Dobbie sent Scott Gallacher the wrong way from the penalty spot after Chris Kane had been brought down, but Dumbarton retook the lead with nine minutes to...

St Mirren returned to winning ways with a 3-1 home victory against Queen of the South.

The Saints saw their five-match winning streak in all competitions ended by Scottish Championship leaders Dunfermline last weekend, but they got back on track on Sunday, with Cameron Smith and Lewis Morgan back on the score sheet.

Smith opened the scoring after 24 minutes with his fifth league goal of the season, sliding a low shot beneath the goalkeeper. Morgan extended the lead three minutes later with an effort...

Darren McGregor's double sent Hibernian on their way to clinching the Ladbrokes Championship title thanks to a 3-0 victory over Queen of the South.

David Gray was also on target as Hibs sealed promotion back to the Premiership at Easter Road.

Falkirk's 2-2 draw at home to St Mirren ensured they moved 11 points clear of the Bairns with three games left.

Hibs knew they had to take care of their own result first and they began as if they meant business, playing at a high tempo with all the players keen...
