Samantha Kerr of Perth Glory celebrates after scoring during W-League match against Melbourne Victory.

Sam Kerr appears primed for another stellar showing for the Matildas this week after her double lifted Perth Glory to a 3-1 win over Melbourne Victory on Sunday.

Kerr showed no ill effects after missing the Glory's last match with a minor quad strain, displaying her trademark turn of pace on numerous occasions.

Australia's Sam Kerr is on the three-player shortlist for the Asian Women's Player of the Year, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced on Saturday.

Kerr was controversially excluded from the final list of nominees for FIFA equivalent award in September, despite a stellar season for the Matildas and Perth Glory. Japan's Saki Kumagai and Sung Hyang-Sim of North Korea are also on the shortlist, but Kerr is the front runner to win the top prize.
