CEO Peter Filopoulos exits Perth Glory to join Football Federation Victoria

Melbourne Victory have won their elimination final match against Adelaide United in front of an excited home crowd.
Two goals in the second half proved invaluable as Melbourne City progressed to week two of the finals to face the Newcastle Jets.

The upheaval at Perth Glory continues, with chief executive Peter Filopoulos the latest confirmed departure from the A-League club.

Just four days after Kenny Lowe was sacked as coach, Filopoulos tendered his resignation on Sunday and will leave his post in May to take up his new job as chief executive at Football Federation Victoria.

Filopoulos' impending departure comes at a critical time of Glory's rebuild.

Most of the squad is out of contract, with Joseph Mills, Andreu Guerao and Jeremy Walker...

Perth Glory sack Kenny Lowe, manager since 2013, after missing finals

Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe
Kenny Lowe has been relieved of his duties as Perth Glory manager, a job he held since 2013.

Perth Glory's longest-serving coach Kenny Lowe has been sacked after failing to guide the side to the A-League finals this season.

Lowe, who had one more year to run on his contract, has been head coach since late 2013.

He will now move into a youth role at the club, where he is expected to be named technical manager at the Glory Academy.

Lowe's sacking comes just a day after Western Sydney Wanderers coach Josep Gombau was shown the door, and former Wanderers coach Tony Popovic could come into the...

Kenny Lowe looking forward after Perth Glory's 'season of frustration'

Kenny Lowe
Perth Glory's season is over after Saturday's loss to Brisbane left them in eighth place on the A-League ladder.

A frustrated Kenny Lowe saw Perth Glory's A-League finals hopes vanish through some lacklustre defending against Brisbane Roar but he will look back on the 2017-18 season as one of missed opportunities.

Glory went into Saturday night's home game with Brisbane Roar an outside chance of qualifying for finals with a win and then a Western Sydney Wanderers loss to Adelaide United on Sunday.

They began strongly with an Adam Taggart goal early after a mistake from Roar keeper Jamie Young. But as has so...

Brisbane Roar shook off a howler from goalkeeper Jamie Young to keep their A-League finals hopes alive, at least for another day, with a 3-2 win over Perth Glory at nib Stadium.

Roar and Glory were battling to stay in the fight for the sixth and last finals position and hoping the Western Sydney Wanderers slip up Sunday against Adelaide United.

Glory got the perfect start with an Adam Taggart goal in the 24th minute after a disastrous decision by Young to come out and not get near a long ball.

Other A-League sides don't want Perth Glory in the finals - Liam Reddy

Liam Reddy
Liam Reddy, right, says that Perth will be one of the most feared teams in the A-League finals -- if they make it.

Perth Glory goalkeeper Liam Reddy is confident his team can cause some major damage in the A-League finals but he knows they face a fight just to make it there.

The Glory's finals hopes hang in the balance heading into the last round of the season.

Perth, Brisbane, and Western Sydney are in a three-horse race to seal the last remaining finals spot.

Glory (32 points) play Brisbane (32) at nib Stadium on Saturday night, before Western Sydney (33) host Adelaide on Sunday.

The winner of the Perth-Brisbane...
