Parma supporters are showing support for the new club as they begin life in Serie D.

Supporters turned out in force to support Parma Calcio 1913 at the weekend as the newly formed club beat Arzignanochiampo away in their Serie D debut.

Parma were wound up this summer after going bankrupt last season, but Parma Calcio 1913 has been formed to fill the void and began life in the fifth tier with a 1-0 win.

Parma creditors put club's trophies up for auction

Parma have played their last game after declaring bankruptcy.

Creditors representing Parma Football Club, which went bankrupt last season, are seeking to recoup as much money from the now defunct club as possible by selling their silverware.

Among the items being sold at an auctions are the 1993 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup -- won at Wembley thanks to a 3-1 win over Royal Antwerp -- the 1994 UEFA Super Cup and the 1999 UEFA Cup.

PARMA, Italy -- A new Parma club backed by pasta maker Guido Barilla and other business executives have been approved to compete in Serie D after the previous squad went bankrupt.
