AC Milan missed out on the signing of Paulo Dybala due to the "antics" of their general manager Adriano Galliani, according to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.

Zamparini says that the Rossoneri were in pole position to sign Dybala, who has since scored 12 goals for Juventus after joining them last summer.

Galliani's games saw Milan miss out and Zamparini has warned him to be more careful if he wishes to sign Franco Vazquez from Palermo at the end of the season.

Matteo Mancosu's second-half penalty saw Carpi snatch a 1-1 draw against Palermo at the Stadio Alberto Braglia.

The hosts began brightly but went behind in the 24th minute as Oscar Hiljemark's pass found Alberto Gilardino free in the Carpi box before slotting home. The former Italy international reached 184 Serie A goals, equalling Gabriel Batistuta for 13th on the Serie A all-time scoring list.

Carpi pushed forward in numbers and got their reward in the second-half as Mancosu was fouled in the Palermo...

Palermo's Franco Vazquez should join Man United or Liverpool - Ballardini

Franco Vazquez is good enough for the Premier League's top clubs, according to Davide Ballardini.

Former Palermo coach Davide Ballardini feels Franco Vazquez is ready to move to the Premier League, citing Liverpool and Manchester United as ideal destinations.

Ballardini may only have sat in the dugout of the Sicilian club for two months, but he saw enough of Vazquez in training and matches to be convinced he is ready to follow in Paulo Dybala's footsteps by becoming the next Rosanero to leave for a bigger side.
