West Brom interested in signing Palermo's Franco Vazquez - president

ESPN FC's Paul Mariner discusses which club will be the better platform for Paul Pogba and who Juventus should look to if they're unable to hold onto Alvaro Morata.

Palermo vice president Guglielmo Micciche has confirmed that Franco Vazquez is unlikely to remain in Italy next season.

Vazquez, 27, moved to Palermo from Argentine club Belgrano in 2002 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Serie A side.

However, Micciche has joined president Maurizio Zamparini in revealing that the forward's time in Serie A could be up with a host of English clubs said to be after his signature.

"Our sporting director Rino Foschi has informed us that the club...

Tottenham in talks with Palermo over €25m move for Franco Vazquez

ESPN FC Tottenham correspondent Dan Kilpatrick looks back at Spurs' season, and what it is they need for the 2016/17 season to finally finish above their North London rivals.
ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti discusses Palermo's Serie A survival, despite changing managers eight times.
Franco Vazquez had an excellent season at Palermo and a Premier League move could be on the cards.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed he is in talks with Tottenham Hotspur about a Premier League move for Franco Vazquez, but says it will take €25 million for the playmaker to leave the Serie A club.

Vazquez joined Palermo from Argentine club Belgrano in the summer of 2012 and rose to prominence alongside current Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

This season he scored eight goals and added seven assists in 36 league appearances, predominantly at No.10, although he can also play...

Palermo squeezed past plucky Hellas Verona with only the odd goal in five securing their status as a Serie A club.

Franco Vazquez lifted the Sicilians, who have employed seven different head coaches this season, before the confusion surrounding the double dismissal of Pawel Wszolek and Michel Morganella allowed basement boys Hellas to respond through Federico Viviani.

At that point Palermo were heading towards Serie B as their 18th-placed rivals Carpi were beating Udinese, but Enzo Maresca and Alberto...

Carpi concerned by possibility of a Palermo and Hellas Verona 'agreement'

ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti recalls Luca Toni's historic career after the Italian forward scored in his final game for Hellas Verona.

The owner of Serie A club Carpi has called on the authorities to keep a close eye on the final match of the league season between Palermo and Hellas Verona, since he claims the result of that game could be fixed.

Carpi need to beat Udinese on the final day of the season to stand any chance of avoiding an immediate return back to Serie B. Even a draw would be enough to keep them up, but they are nevertheless reliant on the outcome of Palermo's clash with already-relegated Hellas.
