Orlando City acquires Senegal international defender Lamine Sane

Get a glimpse at what Justin Meram brings to Orlando City after the Lions acquired the forward in a trade with Columbus Crew SC.

Orlando City has acquired Senegal international center-back Lamine Sane from Werder Bremen.

Sane, 30, spent the past year and a half with the German club, where he made 40 appearances, scoring two goals.

Before joining Werder Bremen, the France-born Sane had a seven-year spell at Bordeaux. He has been capped 25 times for his country since his debut in 2010.

With several MLS stars set to line up for new clubs in 2018, check out some of the most notable trades of the offseason.

Orlando City have signed Egypt international defender Amro Tarek on a one-year initial loan with an option to buy.

The MLS club announced on Friday that the 25-year-old had sealed his move from Egyptian Premier League club Wadi Degla.

Tarek does have limited MLS experience, appearing in one game for Columbus in 2016 while on loan from Real Betis.

Orlando City SC confirms signing of Uri Rosell from Sporting Lisbon

After three-plus seasons playing in Portugal, Uri Rosell returns to MLS to sign with Orlando City.

Orlando City SC announced on Tuesday that it has signed Uri Rosell from Sporting Lisbon for an undisclosed fee.

Because Rosell joined the Portuguese club from Sporting Kansas City for a fee of more than $500,000, he was subject to Major League Soccer's allocation order. Orlando traded $400,000 in Targeted Allocation Money and its No. 6 place in the order to FC Dallas in exchange for the No. 1 spot, which it used to select the 25-year-old.

Orlando City has released its hold on Cyle Larin after agreeing an undisclosed transfer fee with Turkish club Besiktas, while slamming the striker's "unacceptable behavior" in the dealings.

The transfer has dragged on for weeks because Besiktas and Larin's camp claimed he was a free agent, but Orlando said it held a club option for the 2018 and 2019 MLS seasons and was therefore entitled to a transfer fee.

Orlando City has acquired midfielder Justin Meram in a trade with Columbus Crew SC, the MLS clubs confirmed on Monday.

Meram joins Orlando in exchange for $1.05 million in allocation money plus an international roster spot. The money breakdown consists of $750,000 in targeted allocation money (TAM) and $300,000 in general allocation money (GAM).
