The Greek side dismissed Pereira's predecessor Michel on Tuesday and moved swiftly to bring in the 46-year-old Portuguese.

Former Barcelona defender Eric Abidal will announce his retirement from football Friday, according to his current Olympiakos coach, Michel.

Eric Abidal has confirmed he is retiring from football, ending his illustrious career after 14 seasons in the professional game.

After picking up 67 caps but missing out on the 2014 World Cup, Abidal, 35, announced he would no longer play for France in August.
