Wes Hoolahan celebrated his first Norwich player-of-the-season award with two goals as his side beat QPR 4-0 to secure an eighth-placed finish in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder opened the scoring in a low-key final-day fixture midway through the first half, and second-half strikes from Alex Pritchard, Josh Murphy and Hoolahan again completed a comfortable win for the hosts.

Rangers improved after a dreadful start but rarely threatened to work their way into the game, with...

John Ruddy made 242 appearances for Norwich.

Former England goalkeeper John Ruddy tops the list of seven players who will leave Norwich in the summer.

Norwich are overhauling their squad and will not offer a new deal to the 30-year-old Ruddy after seven years at the club.

Sebastien Bassong, Steven Whittaker, Ryan Bennett, Youssouf Mulumbu, Michael Turner and Kyle Lafferty will also leave Carrow Road, the club confirmed.

Sporting director Stuart Webber told the club's official website: "We'd like to place on record our sincere thanks to all...

Leeds' play-off hopes all but over despite valiant fightback in Norwich draw

Leeds' outside Sky Bet Championship play-off hopes were all but ended by a breathless 3-3 draw with Norwich.

Having seemed top-six certainties from November to the start of April, a run of one win in six left Garry Monk's men knowing a win here was a must.

However, when they were 3-0 down after 44 minutes thanks to a Steven Naismith goal and a Nelson Oliveira double, that edict had gone badly wrong.

But a Chris Wood goal gave them hope, a Kyle Bartley one belief and a Pablo Hernandez one a leveller,...

Norwich beat newly promoted Brighton 2-0 on Friday night despite not managing a shot on target, with visiting goalkeeper David Stockdale scoring two own goals.

The Seagulls stopper twice dived to try to keep out well-stuck first-half shots from Alex Pritchard, and twice the efforts came back off the woodwork, hit the luckless keeper and rebounded back into the net.

The goals -- in the 18th and 39 minutes -- ended any hope Chris Hughton's side had of confirming top spot in the Sky Bet Championship...

Norwich picked up only their second Championship away win in their last 17 attempts with a 3-1 victory over Preston at Deepdale.

Two first-half goals from Graham Dorrans and Josh Murphy, and a third late on from James Maddison, were enough to clinch victory in this dead-rubber fixture.

It was just a third Championship home defeat for Preston in their last 19 games.

Neither side had much to play for after recent defeats in the league, and so the first half had a pre-season friendly feel about it.

Then,...
