Newcastle defender Paul Dummett signs new contract until 2022

The Exploding Heads get you caught up on all the happenings after week 27 with Premier League in 90 seconds (plus stoppages).

Newcastle defender Paul Dummett has signed a new long-term contract that could keep him at the club until the summer of 2022.

Dummett, 29 -- who joined the club at the age of nine -- has been a fixture in Rafael Benitez's side since returning to action in December following a hamstring injury suffered on the opening day.

Man United 'went missing' in defeat against Newcastle - Jamaal Lascelles

After defeat at Newcastle, Alison Bender and Stewart Robson wonder whether Man United players are slowly losing the inner drive to fight for Jose Mourinho.

Rafael Benitez oversaw a memorable and much-needed victory for relegation-threatened Newcastle on Sunday afternoon at St. James' Park.

Matt Ritchie struck the decisive blow after the visitors failed to deal with a free kick into the box and Lascelles, the club's captain, was critical of the second-placed visitors.

ESPN FC's Mark Donaldson and Brian McBride square off in predicting week 27's Premier League fixtures.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez will have no qualms about adopting a defensive approach against Manchester United if it is the best way to get a positive result.

The Spaniard's tactics against Premier League leaders Manchester City when they visited St James' Park in December were roundly criticised by television pundits as excessively negative, although they eventually lost 1-0 and very nearly snatched a draw.

Asked if he would be scared to adopt a similar approach when Jose Mourinho's men head for...
