Newcastle sign goalkeeper Martin Dubravka to four-year deal

Newcastle have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Sparta Prague.

The Slovakia international, who made 12 Premier League appearances for the Magpies during a loan spell this past season, has signed a four-year contract at St James' Park.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley pledges 'every penny generated' to Rafa Benitez

Mike Ashley has once again promised Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez "every penny generated by the club'' as he attempts to persuade him to remain at St James' Park.

Chelsea could not be certain walking onto the St James' Park pitch that the Brighton win over Liverpool...

Ayoze Perez struck twice to end Chelsea's faint hopes of Champions League qualification as Newcastle secured a top-10 finish on their return to the Premier League.

The Blues, who face Manchester United in the FA Cup final next Saturday, simply did not turn up for what many believe could be Antonio Conte's final league game at the helm and were beaten 3-0 at St James' Park.

Dwight Gayle headed the home side into a 23rd-minute lead they richly deserved, and Perez's second-half double ended a run of...
