Bradley Wright-Phillips has signed a new Designated Player contract with the New York Red Bulls, the club announced on Wednesday.

Terms of deal were not disclosed, as per MLS policy. But the Red Bulls called the extension for the franchise's all-time top scorer a "multi-year" agreement.

The 32-year-old Englishman earned $715,000 in guaranteed compensation last season, according to figures released by the MLS Players Union.

Minnesota's early season woes continue to mount, as they conceded another bevy of goals from a high octane Revolution side.

The Week 4 pickings are necessarily slim with 16 teams off for the weekend due to the international window. That's a good thing, since it means fewer games impacted by call-ups. For those that did play, there were absences to navigate. Needless to say, some clubs handled the situation better than others. Here's a look at the three MLS matches of note from Saturday.

Portland were on the verge of earning a draw, before rookie Niko Hansen nabbed his first MLS goal to give Columbus the win

Columbus Crew SC handed the Portland Timbers their first loss of the season and moved top of the Eastern Conference with a 3-2 win on Saturday.

The Timbers had started the year with three straight wins but were undone by a late goal from substitute Niko Hansen, who was making his MLS debut.

Portland took the lead in the fourth minute when Sebastian Blanco played in Dairon Asprilla, who fired across the face of goal and just inside the far post.
