NYCFC lose some ground in the Supporters' Shield standings in a loss that saw a red card for Ronald Matarrita and a hamstring injury for Jesus Medina.

The Philadelphia Union boosted their chances at a postseason spot with a 2-0 win over visiting New York City FC on Saturday at Talen Energy Stadium.

After an uneventful first half, the Union's attack broke out in the 57th minute, due in part to some listless marking from New York City. It was Burke's team-leading sixth goal...

Ismael Tajouri-Shradi scored twice, including the late winner, to lead NYCFC past 10-man Toronto FC, which lost Jozy Altidore to a red card.

No decision has been made yet regarding the future of New York City FC captain David Villa, sources told ESPN, though there has been a certain level of frustration during the Spaniard's six-week knee injury layoff.

Reports in Spain on Friday suggested that Villa was thinking about retirement at the end of the season, and that the MLS club would not be renewing his contract.

But sources said both the club and Villa consider all options on the table. A decision will likely be made at the end...

Led by Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah, five Americans took the pitch during the International Champions Cup. Check out how they performed.

New York City FC academy product Giovanni Reyna, the son of the club's sporting director and former U.S. star Claudio Reyna, is set to join the youth program of Borussia Dortmund, sources confirmed to ESPN FC.

Goal.com was the first to report the news on Thursday.

The younger Reyna will head to Germany once he turns 16 in November, looking to emulate the success of U.S. international midfielder Christian Pulisic, who also joined Dortmund at the same age in 2015.
