Argentine import Gustavo Bou and Tijuana have suddenly found their form and risen all the way to third in the table.

The week that just concluded in Liga MX felt like the week of the visitor because there were several impressive away results obtained by several clubs. Chivas, Morelia, Leon and Tijuana's away wins were the main highlights of Week 8. Chivas, the league's defending champions, finally got their first win of the season and are ready to compete for a Liguilla place in the upcoming weeks.

Chivas Guadalajara, Club Tijuana advance into Liga MX Clausura semis

Orbelin Pineda was on target as Chivas edged past Atlas.

GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- Chivas and Club Tijuana advanced to the semifinals of the 2017 Clausura with quarterfinal victories on Sunday.

Chivas defeated Guadalajara rival Atlas 1-0 at Estadio Chivas, while Xolos overcame Morelia 2-0 in Estadio Caliente.

The wins mean that Chivas will play Toluca in the semifinal, with Tijuana facing reigning champions Tigres. The first legs are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, with the return fixtures next weekend.
