Major League Soccer is lining up mighty Real Madrid as its opponent for this summer's All-Star Game in Chicago, multiple sources have told ESPN FC.
The deal was not yet final as of last weekend, but an agreement is expected that would have the defending UEFA Champions League winner play a team of top MLS players on Aug. 2 at Soldier Field, the sources said.
Real Madrid would become the first Spanish club to participate in the event.

Major League Soccer has announced that Premier League side Arsenal will be the opponent for the 2016 MLS All-Star Game, to be held in San Jose, California, on July 28.
The game will be played at the San Jose Earthquakes' Avaya Stadium and telecast in the U.S. on ESPN and in the UK on Sky Sports.
