Romaine Sawyers' second-half strike settled a hard-fought 1-0 win over London rivals Millwall that landed Brentford their first three-point haul at Griffin Park this season.

But the Bees had goalkeeper Daniel Bentley to thank, with his two world-class stops and a penalty save to deny Lee Gregory.

Sawyers gave the hosts the lead just after the break with a superb low drilled shot from the edge of the box after good work from Denmark international Henrik Dalsgaard.

But the game descended into controversy...

Goals either side of half-time from Barnsley's Tom Bradshaw sealed a 3-1 victory at Millwall to move the Tykes three points clear of the Championship relegation zone.

Lee Gregory's penalty in first-half stoppage time levelled things up at 1-1, cancelling out Bradshaw's 40th-minute opener.

But the 25-year-old striker found the net again on the hour mark, before Mamadou Thiam wrapped up Barnsley's first away win of the season with a late penalty - despite manager Paul Heckingbottom getting his marching...

Millwall's George Saville scored twice in the final 10 minutes to seal a 2-1 comeback victory against Reading at the Den.

Dave Edwards' first goal for Jaap Stam's team appeared likely to secure a much-needed victory but the hosts scored twice in the space of five minutes to steal a valiant win.

Millwall started like a team aware they need more wins instead of draws and in the 10th minute, Byron Webster tested Reading's Vito Mannone with a forceful header from 15 yards. Shaun Williams then produced...

High-flying Preston were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Millwall at Deepdale in a game of few clear-cut chances.

The draw extends Preston's unbeaten run to six Sky Bet Championship games and they were the side who came closest to breaking the deadlock, with opportunities wasted either side of half-time.

Millwall, seeking their first away win at this level in 12 attempts dating back to February 2015, had the first chance after 13 minutes as George Saville's shot was parried by Chris Maxwell before...

Aiden O'Brien's goal inflicted Championship leaders Leeds' first defeat of the season as Millwall beat the high-flying Yorkshire side 1-0.

The Lions controlled the contest from start to finish, but for so long it looked set to be one of those afternoons where a catalogue of chances would be wasted, before they eventually broke through after 73 minutes.

Leeds were horribly off-colour at The Den having reached the division's summit earlier in the week, and were fortunate not to be on the wrong end of...
