CAF Champions League preview: Clash of the Titans

For the first time in the history of the CAF Champions League, the semifinal line-up will consist of the previous four winners, as Mamelodi Sundowns meet Wydad Casablanca, and Tout Puissant Mazembe and Esperance de Tunis clash in a pair of engrossing first legs.

New Zealand international Jeremy Brockie scored for Mamelodi Sundowns as they claimed a 2-0 victory away at Equatorial Guinea side Leones Vegetarianos in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie on Wednesday.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates played to a goalless draw in their crunch Absa Premiership clash at Loftus Stadium on Saturday, while 10-man Bidvest Wits lost 2-1 at home after a late rally from Bloemfontein Celtic.

Two of this season's Absa Premiership title contenders go head to head on Saturday when defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns host in-form Orlando Pirates at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
