Peter Odemwingie looks for Indonesia club after Madura United exit

Terens Puhiri turned on the jets as he outran nearly everyone on the opposing team in the Indonesian first division.

Peter Odemwingie has confirmed that he is looking to leave Madura United as the 2017 season has come to an end, but the ex-English Premier League winger is open to remaining in Indonesia.

Of all the big-name signings that arrived in Liga 1 for the 2017 season, Odemwingie was the most successful.

The former Nigeria forward raced to the top of the scoring charts with 13 strikes in the first half of the season.

The goals dried up a little subsequently, as did Madura's title challenge with the club...

Bhayangkara stunned by PSM to blow open Indonesia title race

Robert Alberts' PSM Makassar blew the Indonesian title race wide open on Thursday night with a 2-0 win at the home of Liga 1 leaders Bhayangkara.

With four games of the season remaining, the Sulawesi team moved into second, and a point behind Bhayangkara, who have now lost two successive league games just when a first title had moved into sight.

Both goals came early in the second half and both came from corners.

Wiljan Pluim opened the scoring three minutes after the restart. The Dutch midfielder...

Peter Odemwingie suspended as Madura lose top spot in Indonesia

TCL presents the story of Indonesian footballer Martunis, who after the 2004 Tsunami was offered the chance to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and train with Sporting Lisbon.

Bali United defeated Madura United 5-2 on Sunday to leapfrog above the visitors to take top spot in Indonesia's Liga 1.

A hat trick from Dutch star Sylvano Comvalius did the damage against a Madura team missing star forward Peter Odemwingie through suspension.

A sixth-minute goal from Nick van der Velden gave Bali the lead against Madura, who arrived on the island in pole position. Then two goals in the next 15 minutes from Comvalius, the second a penalty, put Bali 3-0 ahead and in total control...

Michael Essien helps brighten Indonesian season of Persib Bandung

TCL presents the story of Indonesian footballer Martunis, who after the 2004 Tsunami was offered the chance to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and train with Sporting Lisbon.

Michael Essien scored his third goal of the season, helping Persib Bandung to a 3-1 win over PS TNI that moves the troubled team away from the relegation zone in Indonesia's Liga 1.

The former Real Madrid and Chelsea midfielder struck midway through the first half at the Stadium Si Jalak Harupat on Saturday night to extend the West Javans' lead against the visitors.

Heading into the game, Persib had collected two points from a possible 15. It was a run that had not only resulted in the departure...
