Crawley skipper Izale McLeod's first-half penalty proved enough to secure his side their third successive victory with a 1-0 home win over fellow strugglers Leyton Orient.

Orient's top scorer Chris Dagnall went close early on when his low shot was parried by Crawley goalkeeper Lewis Price following a pass by Dean Cox.

Cox then forced Price to tip over his goal-bound shot from the edge of the penalty area before Dagnall's close-range effort was saved by the Crawley goalkeeper.

The hosts broke the deadlock...

Leyton Orient and Barnsley shared the spoils at Brisbane Road although the visitors were indebted to their goalkeeper Adam Davies from a string of superlative saves that earned the 0-0 draw.

Orient, involved in a scrap to avoid relegation, enjoyed the better of the first half and both Chris Dagnall and Darius Henderson went close to opening the scoring.

The best chance of a lively first half fell to midfielder Jobi McAnuff whose powerful drive was turned around the post by Tykes keeper Davies.

Chris Dagnall, Ryan Hedges and Jobi McAnuff were all on target as Leyton Orient secured a 3-0 home win in their relegation battle with Yeovil.

It took the O's just two minutes to go in front in this relegation-scrap in a match when both teams started in the bottom four.

McAnuff fought off three challenges before finding leading striker Dagnall, who netted his 10th league goal of the season, drilling the ball low into the left-hand corner.

Then five minutes later, winger Hedges doubled the O's lead after...

Peterborough's resurgence under caretaker boss Dave Robertson continued after they beat Leyton Orient 1-0 to close in on a play-off place.

Jon Taylor's goal after 25 minutes, thanks to a strong gust of wind, made it three wins from three games for Robertson and Posh - who had half-time substitute Marcus Maddison sent off in the 90th minute.

Taylor gave Peterborough the lead when his cross from the right, which looked well over-hit, appeared to get caught in the wind and dip over Orient goalkeeper Alex...

Goals from Luke Freeman, Aden Flint and Aaron Wilbraham earned table-toppers Bristol City a 3-1 win at Leyton Orient.

Relegation-threatened Orient took the lead in the fourtth minute when Chris Dagnall collected a pass from David Mooney to slide the ball past City keeper Frank Fielding.

However, the O's defence was breached twice before the half-time whistle.

After 12 minutes Freeman powered home a volley which took a deflection on its way into the net.

And the visitors took the lead from a set-piece...
