ESPN FC's Craig Burley and Paul Mariner think Carlo Ancelotti's UCL pedigree could make them favourites to win the tournament.

Shakhtar Donetsk, Olympiakos and Fenerbahce all crashed out of the UEFA Champions League in the third qualifying round on Wednesday, while Monaco, Ajax and Celtic got through to the playoff round.

Shakhtar will return to the Europa League this season, having reached the semifinals of the competition last campaign.

Leigh Griffiths and Celtic will take a crucial away goal back to Celtic Park.

Leigh Griffiths' 78th minute strike gave Celtic a 1-1 draw against FC Astana and put the Hoops firmly in charge of their Champions League destiny.

Defender Yuri Logvinenko headed the home side ahead from a corner in the 19th minute of the third qualifying round match at the noisy Astana Arena, which was just short of its 30,000-capacity.
