FC Dallas beat Los Angeles easily but miss out on the final playoff spot due to San Jose winning two more games.

Pete Vagenas will no longer serve as general manager of the LA Galaxy, the club announced on Tuesday, two days after concluding its worst season.

Sigi Schmid, who was named coach in July, will take over Vagenas' player personnel duties this offseason. Vagenas will remain with the club as vice president of soccer operations.

The Galaxy finished with just 32 points from 34 games, level with D.C. United for the lowest total in the league. Their eight wins was also the fewest in MLS.

Vagenas only took...

LA Galaxy defender Ashley Cole: I'll keep going until my legs give out

Romain Alessandrini scored twice and added an assist in LA Galaxy's rout of Minnesota United.

LA Galaxy defender Ashley Cole insists he is happy to stay at the club next season and has no intention of retiring just yet.

Cole, 37, has had a glittering career with Arsenal and Chelsea, and retired from England duty after missing out on the 2014 World Cup squad. Since arriving at the Galaxy in 2016, the left-back has shown no signs of slowing down and is keen to continue his career, either in LA or elsewhere.

"I don't want to put a number on it," Cole told MLSsoccer. "I'm just enjoying playing....
