Juventus remain top of the Power Rankings, but watch out for Monaco

Nuno Espirito Santo has insisted that Juventus could go on to win the Champions League after knocking out his Porto side.
The FC guys discuss Juve's place among the Champions League favourites as they take an unbeaten record into the quarterfinals.

As clubs take a break over the international break, the state of play atop the Power Rankings remains much the same. But watch out for Monaco...

1. Juventus (no change)

Max Allegri's side headed into the international break with a win at Sampdoria and currently lead Serie A by eight points with nine games remaining. Such a cushion should enable them to focus fully on their Champions League quarterfinal vs. Barcelona.

2. Bayern Munich (no change)

Like Juve, Bayern are very much champions-elect...

Gianluigi Buffon is far from finished after 1,000 games between the posts

Former Juve striker David Trezeguet talks about the importance of the ICC and looks ahead to Juve's UCL clash against Barca.
Buffon is in the form of his life and doesn't want to retire until he gets another shot at the Champions League.

As Juventus flew to Portugal last month for the first leg of their round-of-16 tie with Porto, a club official approached Gigi Buffon and congratulated him. The Juventus captain was about to make his 100th appearance in the Champions League. "I'll be honest with you. I was a little upset about it," he joked. "I thought I had played a lot more of them. Let's just say it was a terrible blow to my ego."

It could have been more too. As his agent, (and former Genoa, Torino and Lazio keeper) Silvano...

Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is looking to reshape his attacking options next season with a more youthful...

Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon breaks another record

Gab Marcotti discusses how the links between Juventus President Andrea Agnelli and organised crime are impacting the club.

Juventus won 1-0 away at Sampdoria in a match that left Max Allegri fuming at the final whistle. The Juve boss didn't like the way that after an exceptional first half, his side conceded chances after the break rather than simply administering the lead and remaining watertight. I thought his criticism was a bit over the top but you can see why he fears complacency.

Meanwhile, Gigi Buffon broke Giampiero Boniperti's record for Serie A minutes played in a Juventus jersey. It's one of those marks that...

Juventus fail to shine but Cuadrado lone strike enough to seal victory

Massimo Allegri has set a firm points total for Juve to achieve to guarantee their campaign ends with a Scudetto.

Juventus defeated Sampdoria 1-0 to collect another three vital points away from home, but after a terrific start to the match, game management was what got the Bianconeri over the line.

Attacking from all angles, Juventus intimidated Sampdoria and took control of the game, exploiting their superiority to score a quick goal. Swift movements coupled with great combinations resulted in entertaining football.

However, when Paulo Dybala left the pitch with a suspected thigh injury, Juve suffered a decline...

Juventus cannot play like it's a friendly if they hope to knock off Barcelona

Max Allegri says playing Barcelona should be a normal occasion for a club with Juventus' European ambitions.

In what will be a repeat of the 2015 final, Juventus will once again take on Barcelona in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. And while they are trying to concentrate on their upcoming Serie A clash against Sampdoria, all anyone can discuss is Barcelona. Can Juve overcome the Catalan side that managed the greatest comeback in European football?

Based on talent alone, Juventus are not inferior and haven't been for some time, yet talent will not be the defining factor when the two sides clash...
