New York-born Bjorn Johnsen accepts call-up from Norway

Bjorn Johnsen has decided to play for Norway over the United States.

Hearts forward Bjorn Johnsen has accepted a call-up to Norway's national team, thus opting for the birth country of his father instead of his own.

Johnsen is eligible to play for the U.S. because he was born in New York City, but with his U.S. national team options looking next to nil, the 25-year-old will join Lars Lagerback's Norway side ahead of matches against Czech Republic and Sweden.

He will be cap-tied if he appears in the World Cup qualifier against the Czechs on June 10.

Celtic made history as the first Scottish team to go through an entire domestic season unbeaten in both league and cups.

Substitute Tom Rogic's sensational stoppage-time winner gave Celtic a 2-1 Scottish Cup final success over Aberdeen and clinched an historic Treble.

In an open and thrilling encounter at Hampden Park, winger Jonny Hayes volleyed the Dons into the lead in the ninth minute only for Parkhead midfielder Stuart Armstrong to level two minutes later.

Celtic grew stronger as the second half went on and in the first minute of three added on by referee Bobby Madden, Rogic -- on in the first half for Kieran...

Leigh Griffiths and Stuart Armstrong were on target as Celtic completed the Premiership season as unbeaten champions with a 2-0 victory over Hearts.

And Armstrong netted Celtic's 106th goal of the league campaign with 14 minutes left as Celtic moved to a record 106-point total.

Brendan Rodgers' side secured their 34th win of the league season on a day of celebration at...

Chris Kane's first-half strike moved St Johnstone 12 points above Hearts in the Ladbrokes Premiership as the visitors continued their miserable run of results in Perth with a 1-0 defeat.

The lively Kane slotted home a brilliant through-ball from Hibernian-bound Danny Swanson, who added a touch of class to proceedings in his final game for Saints - he is suspended for Sunday's visit of Rangers.

Hearts struggled to cut through a resolute Saints defence as they went five Premiership matches without victory,...
