Hamburg coach Josef Zinnbauer says he is not yet entirely satisfied with his team even though they have lifted themselves off the foot of the Bundesliga in recent weeks.

He leads the northern Germany side to the capital on Saturday with a brighter outlook on life after a win at Borussia Dortmund and draw with Hoffenheim but Zinnbauer says he still has a lot of work to do with his team.

``We're far from in celebratory mood,'' he said at a press conference. ``We've still got to work hard to move away...

Hoffenheim extended their unbeaten start to the season to seven games by picking up a point in a 1-1 draw at Hamburg.

Anthony Modeste gave Markus Gisdol's men the lead, but Pierre-Michel Lasogga levelled for the hosts.

Hamburg's Rafael van der Vaart eyeing 'new challenge' in Serie A next summer

Van der Vaart admits he would like to play in Serie A and has looked at a transfer to Italy next summer.

Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is eyeing a switch to Serie A next summer, saying he believes Italy is a good destination for older footballers.

He was on the bench throughout Hamburg's 1-0 win at Dortmund a fortnight ago, and it remains unclear whether new HSV coach Joe Zinnbauer...

U.S. internationals Fabian Johnson and Julian Green have returned to club training ahead of the new round of Bundesliga football until the international break in mid-November.

Green, 19, was sent home to train with his club Hamburger SV by USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann during the recent run of friendlies. The midfielder trained with the Americans early last week, but Klinsmann opted to allow him to return to Germany to recover from an injury sustained in HSV team training.

Spurs tried to offload Gareth Bale to Hamburg, Martin Jol says

Watch Gareth Bale's bit of brilliance as he passes the ball to himself to score Real Madrid's second goal against Basel.

Tottenham Hotspur offered Gareth Bale to Hamburg for around five million pounds, according to Martin Jol.

Jol was in charge at White Hart Lane when a then 17-year-old Bale signed from Southampton in a deal worth seven million pounds.

The Dutchman took over at Hamburg for the 2008-09 season, and has revealed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy offered Bale in a cut-price deal after Spurs became frustrated with the Welshman's inconsistent form.

"Spurs saw Bale as a left back, but he probably wasn't the...
