Damir Kreilach joins Real Salt Lake after move from Union Berlin

Damir Kreilach joined Union Berlin in 2013 and spent more than a year as the club's captain.

Real Salt Lake has signed Damir Kreilach from German second-tier club Union Berlin, allowing the 28-year-old midfielder to fulfill a goal of playing in the United States.

Seating capacity, meanwhile, will be increased to more than 8,000 seats to meet German Football League requirements for top-flight football.

The match at the Westfalenstadion, which Dortmund ultimately won after a penalty shootout, had to be delayed by 15 minutes as a result of the scenes outside the stadium.

Prior to the match, a report in the Berlin media said...
