Motherwell winger Elliott Frear says relegation battle is a challenge

Motherwell winger Elliott Frear admits his first relegation battle is challenging rather than enjoyable.

The 26-year-old Englishman joined the Fir Park club from Forest Green Rovers in January and his first start was in the 7-2 thrashing by Aberdeen at Pittodrie which was followed by a 5-1 home defeat to Dundee.

After the loss to the Dark Blues, boss Mark McGhee made way for Stephen Robinson.

Frear described his start to life in the Ladbrokes Premiership as an "eye opener".

Dundee's disastrous run in the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership continued as Hamilton inflicted a seventh straight defeat upon them at Dens Park.

Paul Hartley's side slipped to second-bottom spot and into the play-off spot after goals in either half from Alex D'Acol and captain Michael Devlin ensured Accies picked up their first away win of the campaign with a 2-0 success.

Hamilton's long-awaited win on away soil meant they leapfrogged rivals Dundee to add further momentum to their own push for survival...

Isma Goncalves scored the only goal of the game to give Hearts a much needed victory and leave Dundee deep in Ladbrokes Premiership relegation trouble.

The former St Mirren player netted from close range in the 13th minute as Ian Cathro's side ended a run of four straight defeats with a 1-0 win.

The hosts had chances to add to their lead but Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain was in inspired form.

The visitors had opportunities of their own, with Tom Hateley hitting the post and substitute Craig Wight missing...

Liam Boyce kept his cool to score a last-minute winner for Ross County from the penalty spot to earn a 2-1 win over Dundee at Global Energy Stadium.

Tim Chow gave County an early lead but Dundee skipper Darren O'Dea levelled just before the break from the penalty spot before Boyce decided it.

But after County were reduced to 10 men when Jim O'Brien was sent off after he picked up a second booking the home side grabbed a dramatic late winner after Michael Gardyne was fouled in the box before Dundee...

Celtic's Ladbrokes Premiership title celebrations were put on ice after second-placed Aberdeen demolished Dundee 7-0 at Dens Park.

The Hoops would have celebrated their sixth successive championship win had the Dons lost but first-half goals from defender Andrew Considine (2), striker Adam Rooney and midfielder Kenny McLean had the points on their way to Pittodrie by the interval.

Skipper Ryan Jack drove in number five in the 51st minute and Niall McGinn got the Dons' sixth before Considine completed...
