Dumbarton consolidated their position in seventh place after they were held to a goalless draw at home to 10-man Queen of South.

Sons goalkeeper Danny Rogers was called into action early on to keep out Lewis Kidd's shot at the back post.

Midfielder Ian McShane was unlucky to see his header bounce off the inside of the post before Rogers tipped over Mark Miller's long-range strike.

Rogers kept up his impressive form after the break when he denied McShane from close range.

Dominique Malonga bagged a brace as Hibernian moved back into second place in the Scottish Championship with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to Dumbarton.

The home side took control with two goals in the space of four first-half minutes as they extended their unbeaten run to 10 league matches.

They took the lead in the 29th minute when Franck Dja Djedje controlled Keith Watson's cross before turning and firing a low shot into the bottom right corner for his first league goal.

Watson was again the...

Scott Agnew's missed penalty proved crucial as Cowdenbeath came from behind to beat Dumbarton 2-1.

Scott Taggart, who netted his first goal of the season last time out, gave Dumbarton the lead with a strike high into the roof of the net in the 34th minute after the Cowden defence failed to clear their lines.

Cowdenbeath goalkeeper Robbie Thomson did well to deny Dylan Easton in the early stages of the second half and pulled off an even better save to push Agnew's spot-kick wide.

That moment was the...

Dumbarton ended a run of four straight defeats after earning a point in a six-goal thriller at Falkirk.

The worst defence in the Scottish Championship let in another three goals to make it 18 conceded in five matches in January but they did enough at the other end to at least stop the rot.

Dumbarton took the lead in the 19th minute when the home side failed to deal with Mitchel Megginson's cross and Scott Taggart pounced from close range.

They were in front for just two minutes before Craig Sibbald's...

Livingston halted a five-game winless run as Daniel Mullen and Jordan White each fired a double in a 5-1 win that condemned Dumbarton to a fourth straight league defeat.

Livingston made a dream start when White opened the scoring in the fifth minute, heading home midfielder Nejc Praprotnik's pinpoint cross for his 10th goal of the season.

Dumbarton's Garry Fleming and midfielder Scott Linton were both wayward, while Scott Agnew and David van Zanten also squandered chances for the home side before the...
