Dnipro goalkeeper scores from own half only to have goal disallowed

For one beautiful moment, Dnipro stopper Jan Lastuvka thought he'd finally sealed his lifelong membership to the illustrious goal scoring goalkeeper's club when he belted one in from his own half against Zorya over the weekend.

Sadly, Lastuvka's joy was to prove short-lived, with the referee almost immediately chalking off the Dnipro keeper's massive 75-yard effort after spotting an off-the-ball infringement while the ball was in flight.

UEFA bans Dnipro, Inter Baku, Targu Mures from European play for 1 year

With his brace in the final, Carlos Bacca netted seven goals in the 2014-15 Europa League.
Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk lost last season's Europa League final to Sevilla.

Last season's Europa League finalists Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk of Ukraine were among three clubs banned from European competition for one year by UEFA over financial issues.

UEFA says that Dnipro, Azerbaijan's Inter Baku and Romania's Targu Mures would be excluded from the next European competition for which they qualify in the next three seasons.

A 93rd minute goal by Yevhen Seleznyov rescued a point for Dnipro who had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Lazio.

Last season's finalists Dnipro scored a 94th-minute equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw and prevent Lazio beginning their Europa League campaign with an impressive away victory.

The Serie A side, among the tournament favourites, were the more convincing team in a match of few clear-cut chances and were on the verge of a 1-0 win after Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's first-half goal.

In the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time, however, with what was virtually the last touch of the game, Yevhen Seleznyov...

Barcelona and Arsenal recognised by ECA for outstanding achievements

The ESPN FC panel discuss Neymar's role with Brazil, where Steve Nicol believes he's too young and immature to be a captain.

Barcelona and Arsenal were among four clubs honoured by the European Club Association (ECA) on Monday.

The Spanish and English giants were joined by Ukrainian team Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Estonian outfit FC Levadia Tallinn in being recognised at the 2015 ECA Awards.

The ECA Awards, which were introduced in 2010, recognise "outstanding club performances, encouraging best practice and highlighting successful club management."
