With his brace in the final, Carlos Bacca netted seven goals in the 2014-15 Europa League.

Last season's Europa League finalists Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk of Ukraine were among three clubs banned from European competition for one year by UEFA over financial issues.

UEFA says that Dnipro, Azerbaijan's Inter Baku and Romania's Targu Mures would be excluded from the next European competition for which they qualify in the next three seasons.

All three clubs had been ordered by UEFA to clear "overdue payables" and told they would be excluded from Europe unless they cleared those debts by Jan....

Last season's finalists Dnipro scored a 94th-minute equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw and prevent Lazio beginning their Europa League campaign with an impressive away victory.

The Serie A side, among the tournament favourites, were the more convincing team in a match of few clear-cut chances and were on the verge of a 1-0 win after Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's first-half goal.

In the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time, however, with what was virtually the last touch of the game, Yevhen Seleznyov...

Sevilla rule out Yevhen Konoplyanka deal but want AC Milan's Adil Rami

Yevhen Konoplyanka is reported to be attracting interest from Stoke and Newcastle.

Sevilla have pulled out of the race to sign Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka this summer.

The Europa League winners were hoping to lure Konoplyanka, who is a free agent this summer, to the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium, but negotiations have proved unsuccessful.

The Ukraine international has been strongly linked with a move to Stoke, while the Daily Mirror has reported that Newcastle are also in the race to sign the 25-year-old.

"We set ourselves a deadline to sign Konoplyanka and it has expired," Sevilla...
